ComEd Vegetation Management

During the months of July, August and September of 2014 ComEd will begin performing regularly scheduled Transmission Corridor vegetation management activities within the Village. ComEd’s vegetation management activities are necessary to ensure the reliability of electrical service and to ensure public safety.

The transmission corridors in Orland Park, are composed of large steel poles or tower structures that are used to transport large volumes of electricity. The transmission corridor located at Orland Parkway and Emile Lane NW to Will Cook Road and 167th St. and west of Harlem at 151st St. south to west of 80th Ave and 159th St.
