1. What amenities are available at the Sportsplex?

- Full access to the Fitness Center with more than 130 pieces of cardiovascular, selectorized and free-weight equipment
- Group fitness classes
- 1/10 mile indoor, climate controlled track, open gyms, soccer area, climbing wall, golf and batting cages
- Free towel and locker service
- Men’s, women’s and family changing rooms

2. When is open gym available at the Sportsplex?

At least one open gym is available during open building hours.

3. What are activity credits?

Credits added to your Resident ID for drop-in fees at the Sportsplex only. Discounted 20%, a minimum purchase of five credits is $4.

4. Can I rent the soccer field or gym at the Sportsplex?

Yes. Contact the Sportsplex at (708) 645-7529 x6284 (Kurt Heinlen) or x6279 (Jack Savage).

5. Do you have to be a resident to use the Sportsplex track?

No. Residents who have a Resident ID can use the track for free. Non-residents have options - $18 daily rate for entire facility usage; 3 and 12 month track only membership or 3 and 12 month all inclusive memberships can be purchased.

6. When is Sportsplex getting a pool?

It is undecided at this point.

7. At what age can you leave your child without adult supervision at the Sportsplex?

Fourth grade and above

8. During school days off, does the Sportsplex have special hours or activities for kids?

The Sportsplex offers open gym, open field & climbing wall for a drop-in fee during the hours between 12:00pm to 6:00pm during school days off. The Sportsplex generally follows School District 135's school calendar to mark these special offerings.

9. Are non-residents allowed to use open gym?

Yes, with a Sportsplex Membership or daily fee of $6 eighth grade and under and $12 for high school and over.

10. Do you need to bring in your own ball or are they supplied?

Either, an ID will need to be left if you borrow a ball.

11. Are children monitored if they leave the Sportsplex?

No

13. What types of shoes are required for the walking track?

Clean, gym shoes or soft-soled shoes.

14. What type of shoes can be worn on the soccer field?

Gym shoes or indoor spikes. No metal spikes or sandal / flip-flop type shoes.

15. How old do you have to be to use the track?

People 12 years of age with a parent present and older can use the track. The track is available the following hours:

Monday - Friday: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Saturday - Sunday: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
All other times, Sportsplex track usage is limited to members and residents 14 years of age & up.

16. When is the soccer field available for open field?

Open Field Hours are:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
3:45 pm – 5:00 pm (early November to late March)
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm (late March to early November)

Monday & Tuesday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
