1. What are the buildings hours?

Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 10:00 pm
Saturday, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm (September 1 to May 31)
Saturday, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm (June 1 to August 31)
Sunday, 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm (September 1 to May 31)
Sunday, Closed (June 1 to August 31)

2. What is the period of time in advance you must have in order to rent a room?

Seven days' notice is required in order to reserve a room.

3. What are the fees to rent a building?

$30 an hour for residents and $60 an hour for non-residents

4. Can we bring in alcohol to the buildings?

No smoking or alcohol is allowed.

5. How many staff members work during your party?

One staff member is designated to your party.

6. Can we use glitter and confetti for our parties?

No glitter or confetti is allowed for parties.

7. How early can I show up before my rental starts?

We generally have the set completed 10 minutes before the party starts. Please no more than 10 minutes. If you need additional time for set-up please rent a half hour prior to the start time of your event.

8. If we are having a good time can we stay longer?

Unfortunately we have to keep the same hours reserved from the original reservation.

9. Can we have a DJ in the rental room?

Unfortunately we don’t allow DJs due to other programs and rentals in the same area.

10. When is the gym available?

11. Do the tables come covered or decorated?

Tables don’t come covered. The set-up requested will be completed 10 minutes prior to your rental time.

12. Does the recreation department have rooms to rent for parties or meetings?

Yes: Robert Davidson Center @ 14700 Park Lane and two rooms in the Franklin Loebe Center at 14650 Ravinia Ave.

13. What restrictions are there regarding the rental rooms available?

Businesses are not eligible for rentals. They are instructed to apply at the Civic Center. No usage is allowed by groups or individuals intent on making a profit through their rental.
All facilities are smoke and alcohol free.
Only persons 21 years of age and older may sign a rental agreement.
The renter must make payment at time of request. Security deposit must be made on a credit card.

14. When can you reserve a room for the season?

Spring/Summer - First Monday on or after Feb. 20th for rentals from April 1 to August 31
Fall - First Monday on or after July 20th for rentals from September 1 to December 31
Winter - First Monday on or after October 20th for rentals from January 1 to March 31

15. When can we reserve a park for a picnic?

January 2 for Residents-March 1 for Non-Res., fee $25.

16. Do you need a permit for a block party?

Yes, you can get one at either recreation administrative office.

18. What are the room rental fees and regulations?

There are various fee structures. See attached rules and regulations for the fees and rules that apply to you or your group. Rental Agreement Form
