Downtown Main Street Area Resident/Employee Parking Permits

Parking permits for Downtown Main Street Area residents and employees are available for use in the Temporary Parking Lot on the east side of Ravinia Avenue, just north of 143rd Street (map).  There is blue striping in this parking lot, the area designated for permit parking is east of the blue striping. 

Permit applications are available online and at Village Hall, 14700 Ravinia Avenue.  Permits can be purchased for one month or for several months at a time, but are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

A Downtown Employee Parking Permit costs $5 per month and allows employees access to parking in the temporary parking lot only during their work hours.  A new permit is issued each month and the permit is effective the first day of the month. 
The permit must be properly displayed at all times while parked in the designated lot(s). Failure to properly display the permit may result in a citation. Permits shall be returned to the Village immediately if employment is terminated.

A Downtown Resident Parking Permit costs $30 per month and allows residents of the Main Street Area to park in the temporary parking lot during the daytime hours and overnight.  A new permit is issued each month and the permit is effective the first day of the month. The permit must be properly displayed at all times while parked in the designated lot. Failure to properly display the hangtag may result in a citation.

Notification must be made immediately to the Village should the permittee need to update their vehicle information.  The replacement cost for a lost permit is $5.00. 

Any violation of these rules may result in immediate forfeiture of the permit and the inability to apply for another permit for a period of up to ONE YEAR.
