1. What options do I have available for paying my water bill?

- If paying by check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), you can mail your payment to the address provided on the remittance stub. The address is P.O. Box 88060 Chicago, Illinois 60680-1060.

- If you are paying by check or credit card, you can utilize one of the conveniently located drop boxes at the Village Hall. One is located in the main lobby and one is located in front of the building on the median before the circle drive. Drop boxes are also available at each of the Village’s commuter parking lots located at 143rd Street, 153rd Street, and 179th Street. There is also a drop box at the Sportsplex in front of the circle drive.

- You can pay your water bill in person at the Village Hall Cashier's window. Accepted payment methods include cash, check or credit card.

- You can pay your water bill online with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card (credit or debit). To register, go to the Online Customer Service Center

2. Can I pay my water bill automatically?

You can have the amount due automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account by completing the Automatic Water Bill Payment Form

3. I think there is an error with the current reading on my bill. What should I do?

Begin by reading your meter. The Village reads the first four digits on the meter. Compare that to the current read on your bill.

If the read on your meter is higher than the one on the bill, it is accurate. If your usage is very high, check for leaks at all water sources. Toilets and sprinkling systems are the most common places for leaks.

4. My garbage was not picked up today. What should I do?

5. Can I pay automatically with my credit card?

The Village can not automatically charge your water bill to your credit card however, you have the option to pay on-line with a credit card or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). If you do not wish to charge on-line, the Village can automatically withdraw payment from a checking or savings account. To sign up for this program, complete the Automatic Water Bill Payment Authorization Form

6. There is no read and meter information on my bill. How am I being charged?

Recently there has been a new meter installed and the billing system can not print both meter numbers and reads on the bill. Your next bill will reflect the current information.

9. Is a security deposit required?

The Village does not require a security deposit to set up service.

10. I have a large item to be picked up. Can I put it out with the regular garbage?

Contact Waste Management for a special pick up at (800) 796-9696. There should be no additional charge.

12. Does the Village sell stamps?

Yes, stamps can be purchased at the Cashier's window.
