1. Can I have information on Lake Sedgewick?

This 95 acre water body includes a boat ramp, a gazebo, nature trails, and plenty of additional parking. It is stocked with bluegill/sunfish, carp, largemouth bass, crappie, bullhead, and channel catfish. Valid Illinois fishing license required for 16 and older. Boats with electric trolling motors allowed, gas motors should be propped up - max length 16'. Boat launch hours are sunrise to dusk weather permitting. Fees to launch - $3.(R), $6.(N)

2. Do you need a fishing license to fish at Lake Sedgewick?

*Anglers under 16 years of age, and persons declared legally disabled (Secretary of State issued Disabled I.D. card showing a Class 2 or 2A disability or Disabled Veterans holding a Veteran's I.D. showing at least a 10% service related disability) or blind, may fish without a license. Owners or tenants (if they reside on the land) may fish in waters on or flowing over their lands without a license. This exemption does not apply to club and organizational lakes or lake developments.

Persons on active duty in the Armed Forces are considered residents. A person on active duty in the armed forces, who entered the service from Illinois and is an Illinois resident, may fish without a license while on leave. 3. What are the Kayak and Pedal Boat rental fees?:

Pedal Boat Rental Fees:
$10.00 per hour/per boat
$5.00 per 1/2 hour for any time over the initial hour rental.
Kayak Rental Fees:
$5.00 per hour/per person
$20.00 per 1/2 day/per person (5 hour max)
$25.00 full day/per person
$3.00 per 1/2 hour for any time over the intial hour rental
$20.00 cash deposit is required at the time of rental

4. What are the Lake Sedgewick Kayak and Pedal Boat rental hours?:

May 26 to September 2 - Fridays, 12:00-7:00 PM / Sat & Sun, 11:00 AM-7:00 PM
September 8 to 30 - Saturday and Sundays, 12:00-5:00 PM
