EECBG
The Village of Orland Park obtained an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) from the US Department of Energy via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for $520,700.

Village was approved for the following project activities under EECBG:

$25,000 - Grant Administration
$50,000 - Residential Exterior Insulation and Re-Siding Program
$250,000 - Smart Energy Fund
$195,700 - Renewable Energy for Governmental Buildings (including energy efficiency upgrades)


New Programs Funded by EECBG
Residential Exterior Insulation and Re-Siding Program (REIRS) - A voluntary sub-grant program, REIRS is designed to assist residents in eligible subdivisions obtain financial assistance to plan for and implement energy efficiency and conservation retro-fits to the exterior of their homes. This program is open to all residents/ residential property owners in the Cameno Re'al, Fairway Estates, Fernway, Gee's Addition, Orland Hills and Orland Hills Gardens subdivisions. 

Smart Energy Fund (SEF) - A voluntary sub-grant program, SEF is designed to assist local businesses obtain financial assistance to plan for and implement energy efficiency and conservation projects and initiatives. The program is no longer accepting applications at this time.
