Overview
The Patrol Division has developed permanent patrol beats and permanent shifts for each patrol officer. A beat is a specific geographic area, there are seven within the incorporated limits of the Village.

Permanent Beat Coverage
Each of the three shifts staffs a minimum of seven beat officers to complete permanent beat coverage. Officers are assigned on an annual basis to patrol in only one of two beats on the same shift daily.
