Register in Person
To register for the Tuesday, November 8, 2016 Presidential Election, you must register at the Village Clerk's Office before voter registration is closed. Cook County closes registration 28 days before the election. Registration is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 8 a.m.


Identification needed when registering in person

If registering to vote in person, you must display two pieces of identification. Neither needs to be a photo ID, but one must include your current address. Acceptable forms of ID include:
 
  • Illinois driver's license
  • Illinois state ID
  • Employee or student ID
  • Credit card
  • Social security card
  • Birth certificate
  • Utility bill in applicant's name
  • Mail postmarked to the applicant
  • Valid U.S. passport
  • Lease or rental contract

Voter registration closes on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 5 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday, November 10th. 

Office hours to register are between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays at:

On Monday, September 19th the Clerk's Office will remain open until 7 PM to register voters for National Voter Registration Day which is Tuesday, September 27, 2016.  Different Events will be taking place all around the United States for Voter Registration. To find out more - please click on:   National Voter Registration Day

If you miss the deadline to come into our office to register you will be able to register and vote at the same time which is called Grace Period Voting.  Please contact us so we may explain this procedure.
