Project Update
The collection of the field survey data was completed late last year and the existing conditions hydrologic and hydraulic models have been developed.  Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD. (CBBEL) has obtained historical rainfall data from the village and is working to calibrate the models.  Once the existing conditions model is calibrated, CBBEL will work on the development of the proposed conditions model.  Various stormwater improvements to reduce the risk of future flooding at the 163rd Street location will be evaluated after the completion of the proposed conditions model.

Project Description

This portion of the project is to evaluate various stormwater improvements that can be constructed to reduce the risk of flooding in the area of the Saratoga Place subdivision near 97th Avenue and 163rd Street.

Project History
The project site is located at 163rd Street and 97th Avenue.  During heavy rainfall events the wetland/detention area fills and overflows.  Some residential units are impacted with basement flooding.
