The Village's undergoes an independent financial audit on an annual basis.  At the conclusion of the annual audit, the Finance Department prepares and issues the Village's Comprehensive Annual Finance Report (CAFR).  As required by statute, the Village's CAFR is finalized for publication no later than six months following the end of each fiscal year. 

The Village's CAFR is submitted to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) each year to be considered for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.  The Village has received this award for twenty consecutive years; the Village's FY2011 CAFR is currently being reviewed by GFOA.
