The Village of Orland Park is an Illinois municipality incorporated May 31, 1892. The current residential population is approximately 58,000 people and the Village is the retail and restaurant hub of the south suburbs. The Village is located approximately 25 miles southwest of downtown Chicago, with train service via Metra’s Southwest Service line. Interstate 55 to the north, Interstate 355 to the west and Interstate 80 to the south provide easy access to the entire Chicagoland area. 

Orland Park is professionally managed and financially stable community boasting a AA+ bond rating from Standard & Poors and Aa1 from Moody’s. The Village services are provided by a 265 full-time staff members complemented by 350 part-time staff and 320 seasonal staff.

Under the direction of the Village Manager, the following departments provide service to the community; Finance Department, Police Department, Department of Development Services, Department of Public Works, Recreation Department and Parks Department.
