Family Services
Orland Park offers families, people with disabilities, and seniors many services, including:

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

LIHEAP helps eligible low-income households pay for winter energy services. LIHEAP services are provided by local community action agencies or not-for-profit agencies throughout the state.

State of Illinois Handicapped Parking Placards
Temporary-window (up to six months) handicapped parking placards may be obtained at the Secretary of State’s Office between Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Board Room of the Village Hall at 14700 Ravinia Avenue.

Circuit Breaker & Pharmaceutical Assistance Program
This Circuit Breaker Program may provide a yearly grant for relief from property tax, mobile home tax, rent, or nursing home charges to qualifying seniors and disabled persons. Eligible participants are also entitled to receive one reduced license plate sticker. Pharmaceutical assistance helps to pay for approved prescription medications.

Cook County homeowners may take advantage of several valuable property-tax-saving exemptions. There are currently four exemptions that must be applied for or renewed annually: homeowner exemption, senior citizen homestead exemption, senior citizen assessment freeze exemption, and home improvement exemption.
