Beginning the week of October 22, 2012, village crews will begin picking up leaves in the oldest sections of town (see the tentative daily schedule below).  Because of disposal restrictions, the Leaf Pick Up Program cannot extend past November 30.  The final pick up days are also listed below in the tentative schedule.  The village strongly encourages the use of Kraft biodegradable leaf bags and/or Waste Management yard waste wheeler carts prior to November 30 as the only guarantee for having the leaves picked up.  Leaf bag and yard waste wheeler cart pick up by Waste Management also ends November 30.

The areas of the town that will have leaves picked up are indicated below:

                     (Last pick-up date is November 27)

Wednesdays:  Villa West, Villa De Este, Clearview, Heritage Estates
                      (Last pick-up date is November 28)

Thursdays:    Teebrook, Catalina, Orlan Brook, Golfview Areas
                      (Last pick-up date is November 29)

Fridays:        Miscellaneous areas in the Village and missed portions of 
                    the areas listed above.
                     (Last pick-up date is November 30)

There will be no parkway leaf pick up after Friday, November 30.  Refer to the schedule above to determine the last day for pick up in your area (subdivision).

The village's equipment is designed to pick up leaves from the parkways.  Leaves raked into the street can block the storm sewers resulting in street flooding.  Raking leaves into the street is strictly prohibited.  Homes where leaves are found raked into the street will be ticketed.

The village strongly encourages the use of the Kraft biodegradable leaf bags and the Waste Management yard waste wheeler carts prior to December 1 as the only guarantee for pick-up by Waste Management.  Leaf bag and yard waste pick up by Waste Management also ends NOVEMBER 30, 2012.
