The Village of Orland Park is again ranked among the top 100 best small cities in America, according to “Money Magazine.”
The complete list of the nation’s best places to live will appear in the August 2008 issue of the magazine, one of the nation’s largest personal finance publications with a readership of 7.4 million.“We’re very pleased that Orland Park is once again listed among the top 100 cities in the nation,” said Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin. “Throughout the past year, Orland Park has been recognized as a premier community by a number of organizations,” he added.
Rankings are based on economy, health, crime, housing, education, weather, transit, leisure and arts as well as other economic and quality of life measures. Once it is clear which towns look best on paper, MONEY reporters visited each, interviewing residents and community leaders to assess the town’s sense of community.
