To enhance the Village’s GIS (Geographical Information System), the Public Works Department has contracted with SpaceCo, Inc. in a multi-year project to locate storm sewer structures and piping throughout the Village. Two (2) person crews will be surveying using GPS (Global Positioning System) equipment. The crews will be wearing green vests and their vehicles will have a sign indicating they are an Orland Park Contractor.
The crews will need access wherever storm structures exist. The Village’s storm infrastructure resides in backyards, front yards and roadways. Typically, the infrastructure consists of manholes, catch basins, inlets, pipes and outlets. If needed, your help will be appreciated in identifying or indicating the location of any of the structures on your property.
The crews will begin surveying the week of November 24. The area the crews will be working in is north of 143rd Street between Will-Cook Road and Harlem Avenue.
