Energy Efficiency Module - A combination incentive with ComEd is Smart Ideas for Your Business incentives.

Auto Mall Module - A combination incentive with ComEd Smart Ideas for Your Business incentives and is open to automobile dealerships located in the Village of Orland Park.

Smart Energy Fund  - The Smart Energy Fund (SEF) is a voluntary sub-grant program funded by the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). SEF is designed to assist local Orland Park businesses obtain financial assistance to plan for and implement energy efficiency and conservation projects and initiatives.  Click the above link for information and application.

Green Commercial Buildings - Encourages and incentivizes commercial projects to build LEED Certified buildings.

  • Gold, Silver & Bronze Levels – Incentives will be tied to expedited permitting and reduced/delayed building permit fees.
  • Program will apply to institutional, office and commercial projects.
  • Must earn LEED certification.

Green Homes - Encourages and incentivizes residential projects to build to the National Green Building Standard.

  • Emerald, gold, silver, and bronze levels-incentives will be tied to expedited permitting and reduced/delayed building permit fees.
  • Projects must meet minimum threshold point ratings to qualify for incentives.

The National Green Building Standard was drafted through a joint effort of the National Association of Home Builders and the International Code Council. It is the first ANSI (American National Standard Institute) code on residential green buildings. The ANSI approved these standards in January of 2009.
