The Village of Orland Park requires providers of goods and services to enter into a written contract with the Village for the majority of goods and services it purchases.
A Goods and Services Contract is used for all services, regardless of dollar amount or frequency, and for most goods, materials and supplies purchases over $10,000.
A Professional Services Contract is used for all professional services purchased, regardless of dollar amount.
A Construction and Installation Contract is required for all construction and/or installation projects over $5,000.
Construction of a “public work,” within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. (“the Act”) requires CONTRACTORS and Subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the “prevailing rate of wages” (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor’s website at: http://www.state.il.us/agency/idol/rates/rates.HTM. All CONTRACTORS and Subcontractors rendering services under this CONTRACT must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties.
For any additional work to be performed on any previously executed contract or to extend the time of the contract, a supplemental contract or addendum is required.
The Village of Orland Park does not require a contract for emergency one time purchases of goods, materials, supplies, equipment or services.
All applicable Certifications, and Certificates of Insurance are to be kept current and maintained on file with the Village.
