The Village of Orland Park Comedy Improv Team is ready for another year of hilarity.

“Each of the 11 members of this year’s cast has a completely different comedic style,” said Orland Park Improv Team Director Kristie Ansinn. “Yet, their performance melds together effortlessly.”

Shows are open to those age 18 and older and are held at the village’s Cultural Center, 14760 Park Lane. Admission is $7 at the door.
“The village’s comedy improv show is a great way to wind down at the end of the week,” said Jean Petrow, the Recreation Department program supervisor who oversees the group. “It’s a nice night out, close to home. Go to dinner and come see the show. Get a group together. Those are always fun.”

Performances are January 25, February 22, March 29, April 19 and May 17.

“This season’s ensemble is one of the best since the team was created in 2004,” Ansinn said. “Each show is a spontaneous, off the cuff performance --- there are no scripts! Scenes unfold before your eyes and laughter naturally follows.”

Ansinn reported that the specialty of the 2019 is “short form improv,” which includes games and quick scenes that are sparked by audience suggestions.

“We really have a great time and welcome everyone to come to our shows --- nothing is ever the same and I am honored to work and play with such a freakishly talented cast.”
