Orland Park Police officers will join police departments from throughout the state to once again stake out Dunkin' Donuts rooftops in May to heighten awareness and raise donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Illinois. This year, officers will take to the rooftops of Dunkin' Donuts locations from 5 am to 2 pm on Friday, May 22. Orland Park Police will be perched on top of the Dunkin' Donuts at 14461 South LaGrange Road.

In return for the police officers doing time at their stores, Dunkin' Donuts will donate $10,000 to the Torch Run fund. In addition, everyone who visits a Cop on Rooftop store on May 22 and makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a free donut. People who donate at least $10 will also receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug and coupon for free coffee.

During the 2008 statewide Dunkin' Donuts Cops on Rooftops Event, officers took to the rooftops of 68 Dunkin' Donuts locations in Illinois and raised more that $143,000 for Special Olympics Illinois.
