The Village of Orland Park will co-host U.S. Representative Judy Biggert's (R-IL 13) "Road To Employment Job Fair" on Tuesday, September 14th at the village's Sportsplex, 11351 West 159th Street. The fair and workshops will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

"We're happy to be a part of Representative Biggert's event that will surely help the many job seekers in our area," said Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin. "We also welcome the participation of the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce and its member businesses to help those who are out of work," the mayor added.

The fair will connect job seekers with career opportunities from a wide spectrum of industries and some of the area's top employers. The event will also include workshops designed to teach job seekers how to prepare resumes, do well during interviews or seek personalized career counseling.

"Whether networking, lining up an interview or signing up for career counseling, job seekers will walk away from the job fair with connections and resources that will help them navigate their ways to steady employment," Biggert said.

"We're hoping that those seeking work will stop in to meet with these prospective employers all in one place," McLaughlin said.

Businesses are invited to register to host free booths at the job fair by emailing RSVPJobs@mail.house.gov. Further information is available by calling the Orland Park Village Clerk's Office at 708/403-6150 or Biggert's Willowbrook office at 630/655-2052.
