Orland Park Theatre Troupe Holds Auditions for High School Musical

The Village of Orland Park Theatre Troupe will hold auditions for its spring production of “High School Musical” January 20 and 21.

Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script, sing 16 measures of any song, and be prepared to learn and perform a dance. Auditions will be held at the Orland Park Cultural Center, 14760 Park Lane.

Actors ages seven to 15 may audition on Sunday, January 20 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. while those age 16 and older are invited to audition from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Auditions on Monday, January 21 are open to all ages and will be held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Once cast, participants must pay a $40 registration fee. Performances will be April 26 to April 28 at the Carl Sandburg High School Performing Arts Center. Rehearsals will be Sunday afternoons and Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Orland Park Cultural Center.

Disney’s High School Musical is presented through special arrangement with Musical Theatre International. Orland Park’s production is being directed by Geoff Epperson.
