Everyone is invited to the Village of Orland Park's newest dog-friendly event, "Take Me Out to the Dog Park." The sports-themed event will take place on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at The DogOut Dog Park, located within the village's Centennial Park. The event is free and open to the public.

"We can't wait to see all of our families and furry friends at this great event," said Trustee Pat Gira, chair of the village's Parks and Recreation Committee. "This wonderful village amenity offers agility courses, separate areas for larger and smaller dogs and most importantly, a chance for dogs to socialize with each other."

Activities planned for the event include timed fetch, catch, running bases with your master, and an owner/dog baseball look-alike contest. There will be free treats, and a drawing will be held for one free dog park membership for the 2017-18 season.

The dog park entrance is located at the end of Fun Drive, just across from the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink.
