The Village of Orland Park will hold its annual Spring Clean Up Campaign in cooperation with Waste Management of the South Suburbs, April 26 through April 28, 2012.

Dumpsters will be placed at the Public Works Facility, located at 15655 South Ravinia Avenue, one block west of LaGrange Road. Residents may dispose of normal household garbage on Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

All disposed materials must be placed inside of the dumpster and not along side the dumpster.

Household hazardous materials, construction debris and yard waste are prohibited. The following items are also not allowed for disposal: medical waste, paints/stains, fertilizer, pesticides, automotive parts, cleaners, pool chemicals, fluorescent tube bulbs, propane tanks, and electronics (TV's, computers, etc.).

The Village of Orland Park's contracted waste hauler, Waste Management, resumed collecting yard waste on regular garbage pick-up days beginning April 1. Yard waste collection will continue through November 30, 2012.

All yard waste materials must be separate from normal household garbage. Orland Park residents may use Waste Wheeler Carts for yard waste or Kraft biodegradable bags. Yard waste in other containers will not be collected.

Bundled trees and brush less than four inches in diameter and 48 inches in length are picked up during the first full week of each month.
