The Village of Orland Park will host an informational open house, inviting the community to learn about plans for the first phase of re-development of the Main Street area of Downtown Orland Park. The public is invited to attend the open house on Monday, August 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 South Ravinia Avenue.

Downtown Orland Park, at 143rd Street and LaGrange Road, will blend historic Old Orland with the village's present and future, offering a pedestrian friendly mix of residential and retail uses. The district is comprised of four subparts, including the village's civic corridor, Old Orland Historic District, Main Street and Orland Park Crossing.

"We invite everyone to come to the open house to learn more about the first phase of development and its role in the future of the village," said Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin.

"Village officials and staff will be available to answer questions and explain how phase one will benefit the community, with the creation of jobs, strengthening our commercial base, attracting new businesses to the village and maintaining Orland Park's reputation as one of the best communities in the nation," McLaughlin added.

The Village of Orland Park plans to partner with Flaherty & Collins Properties for the first phase of re-development of the Main Street portion of Downtown Orland Park. Based in Indianapolis, Flaherty & Collins is a recognized leader in the development, construction, and management of multifamily housing, being one of the largest, most active, and most experienced multifamily property developers in the Midwest.

Ninety 7 Fifty On The Park will include nearly 300 luxury rental residences, over 8,600 square feet of interior amenity space, 4,000 square feet of commercial space and structured parking on approximately four acres in the downtown's Main Street area.

McLaughlin added, "This new downtown not only offers prospective residents a true lifestyle center in which to live, shop and be entertained, it also preserves our village's reputation as one of the most desirable communities in the nation and guaranteeing that Orland Park remains one of the most dynamic communities in the State of Illinois."

Details about the Main Street phase of development and Downtown Orland Park can be found on the village's website at www.orland-park.il.us and at www.downtownop.com.
