Watermain Replacement Orland Hills Gardens

Watermain Replacement Orland Hills Gardens
Posted on 02/15/2013

The Mayor and Trustees have made a long-term commitment to Village residents to improve the quality of water service in Orland Park. Beginning in February, 2013, as part of this commitment, the Public Works Department will be replacing the watermain in the Orland Hills Gardens subdivision and part of the Old Orland area near Jefferson Avenue and 144th Place. The existing watermain, installed in the ‘50s & '60s, will be fully replaced. Construction will consist of new water services to all users as well as new fire hydrants and control valves, etc.

The watermain project will be completed as part of the Design-Build Watermain Replacement Program and once the underground work is completed, the streets will be prepared and resurfaced. All areas will be restored following construction.

Water service may be interrupted during construction of the watermain for short periods of time and roads or lanes of traffice may be temporarily closed during daytime hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will provide pertinent notices and signs to keep you abreast of our progress.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the construction, please call Mr. Bill Cunningham of the Village of Orland Park Public Works Department at 708/403-6350. Thank you.
